About Shlokam

Our journey with sarees began in the early 1990s, when we started helping family and friends choose and purchase sarees. At the time, it was a small, informal business without a brand name. It was simply about finding the right saree for a wedding, a festival, a gift, or a special family occasion. Over time, more people began reaching out to us, often through someone they knew.

A large part of what we do has always been personal. We have helped choose sarees for individuals, families, and even entire groups for weddings and other functions. Sometimes that means coordinating colors and styles. Sometimes it is about finding something suitable within a particular budget. The aim has always been the same: to help each person find a saree she feels happy wearing.

Most of our growth has come through word of mouth. Customers return because they trust our selection and know that we take the time to choose carefully. We pay attention to the color, fabric, workmanship, comfort, and overall value of every saree we add to the collection.

For many years, customers asked us to create a place they could easily visit and share with their friends and family. Shlokam is our way of doing that.
